The job can be extremely rewarding for the right candidates who enjoy working outdoors, despite the work being demanding and the working hours sometimes unsociable. Our Campsite Wardens are required to undertake a wide variety of tasks involved in running a campsite, which include maintaining the grounds, cleaning the toilets and facilities, welcoming and directing campers to their pitch, occasionally performing administration duties in the site office and performing a range of other operational duties. CONSERVATION VOLUNTEERS.

As you know, at Badgells Wood we’re on a mission to inspire a love of the woods. Over the years, we’ve amassed a tribe of like-minded campers, all with a passion to “put back” into nature.

If you think you fit that description, then maybe you’d like to join us on our annual Volunteers’ Conservation Weekend on 12-14 April 2024? Key jobs for our volunteers are clearing the branches from the woodland floor (giving all those beautiful woodland plants space to thrive in the dappled light), repairing dead hedges around the pitches (providing valuable wildlife habitats) and spreading wood chip on pathways.

Your hard work will be rewarded with free camping and food for the weekend!

Contact Karina if you’re able to join us.
