Bells in the Woods.
Our pre-erected bell tents are aimed at easing you into the woodland experience. Getting you up and close and personal with nature. Ideal if you are dipping your toe into woodland camping for the first time. They’re also the perfect choice for those who want to travel light, or turn up and camp with the minimum of fuss.

There are a wide variety of pitches to choose from at Badgells Wood, all nestled in the heart of our ancient woodland site. Whether you’re looking for a large family-friendly pitch close to the car, or a more solitary experience, we’ve got you covered. All come with a fire pit for cooking, storytelling and wistful meanderings.
Vanlife.
We have 8 pitches which accommodate small VW campervans. They are just off our access road, easy to get to and still nestled amongst the trees. All our camper pitches have fire pits and picnic benches. Remember, this is wild camping, so we don’t have any electric hook-ups.
Sadly, Badgells Wood doesn’t have the space to accept caravans or larger campervans.
Kid-free camping
at Great Park Wood.
We have reserved the Great Park Wood are for adults who want to make the most of the peace and quiet. It is deeper into the woods (between three and four minutes walk from the parking) and much more secluded.
Off Grid simple comforts
The Badgells Wood experience is all about getting back to the simple life. We’re a fully off-grid adventure, so it’s back to nature in our communal areas. But don’t worry, we have loads of on-site facilities to keep you clean and smelling fresh. We have lovely hot showers and washing-up sinks, together with composting loos (loo paper & hand-sanitiser provided). It’s basic and rustic but with everything you need. We supply bio-degradable shower gel and washing-up liquid to be kind to our soak-away.
There’s mains drinking water located at our central washing up area.
We’re an eco-conscious bunch so we have rubbish bins glass and general recycling bins on site (see map for details). We ask that you separate your recycling from general waste and use the bins accordingly.
All our pitches are supplied with their own firepit. Firewood is available to pre-order on booking or in our on-site General Store.
However, based on the weather patterns of the last few years, if you are planning to visit us during the hot summer months, we would advise you to be prepared and also bring a camping stove with you - if we have a sustained period without any rain, sadly there’s a high chance of us having to put in place a fire ban…and we wouldn’t want you to go hungry!
Please note that disposable BBQs are not allowed due to the risk of fire.
