At Badgells Wood we’re on a mission to inspire a love of the woods. We’ve created an experience as close to wild camping as possible. A chance to immerse yourselves in our beautiful ancient woodland and allow nature, and the magic of the campfire, to send you home feeling healthy, energised and relaxed.

WELL FED CAMPERS.
Delicious coffees, pastries, pizzas and drinks…we’ve got it all covered - so you can just concentrate on setting up the perfect campfire to sit back and relax around!
Alkham Valley Pizzas can be found in our outdoor kitchen every Friday night and we have a licence to sell alcohol on site, so we can also offer a selection of locally sourced beers, ciders and wines to enjoy with your pizzas!
Get your morning caffeine and pastry fix from our on-site coffee horse-box - perfect for kick-starting your day!
Upcoming Events at Badgells Wood.
Alongside our regular Saturday bushcraft schedule, we’ve got more new experiences to bring to you this season. At very opposing ends of the spectrum of activities to be held in the woods, we have Yoga and Axe-Throwing sessions running every Saturday…don’t worry, they’re held in very different parts of the campsite…!
Basket Weaving and Spoon Carving workshops will run from 10am to 4pm, to enable you to really immerse yourself in a day of learning a new skill…after all, you’re never too old! And we’ve a new schedule of Foraging Workshops for you to make the most of what the woodlands have to offer.

When you’d play for hours climbing trees, build a den or toast marshmallows on the fire?

We’ve created an experience that is as close to wild camping as possible, with fires and space enough to feel like you are nearly on your own in the woods, but with lovely hot showers and composting loos for a few creature comforts.
All pitches great
and small.
We have a wide variety of secluded woodland pitches to suit everyone, from families with all the gear, to the most minimalist Ray Mears type.
If you need some gentle easing into the woodland camping experience (or maybe you just want to turn up and camp with the minimum of fuss) we have a select number of pre-erected bell tents available. We can also accommodate a limited number of small VW campers.
Things get
pretty heated.
A new experience is always just around the corner at Badgells Wood, whether it’s archery, bushcraft or axe-throwing for the thrill seekers, or forest-bathing, yoga or wildlife photography for those looking to relax and tune into the trees.

There’s lots to do in the surrounding area…whether that’s a gentle stroll and a pub lunch in a local village, a country house visit with a cream tea or, for our thrill-seeking campers, go-karting or watersports…there’s something for everyone!
